Punchout
A procurement workflow where a buyer enters their procurement system, "punches out" to a supplier's catalogue, selects items, and returns to the procurement system with a populated cart.
In practice
Most often implemented via cXML. The buyer's session is round-tripped to the supplier and back, preserving authentication and budget context.
Why it matters
Selling into Coupa, Ariba, Jaggaer, or SAP-driven procurement environments usually requires punchout.
